Messina enjoys working with all persons, ages, and families. Messina has over 20 years of experience working in a variety of mental health modalities. Messina enjoys working with children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, families, developmentally disabled, LGBQT, culturally diverse, veterans, severely mentally ill, crisis and substance use. Experience includes working with PTSD, Depression, Bipolar, Psychosis, ADHD, anxiety disorders, and substance abuse. Andrea is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
She obtained her master’s degree from Gonzaga University in 2020. During her previous 10 years in healthcare, she worked in acute psychiatry caring for patients of all ages. She has experience in medication management for treatment of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and PTSD in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. Andrea values a patient-centered approach to healthcare and will work with clients to develop successful interventions by utilizing evidence-based techniques and integrating healthy approaches to lifestyle changes. Andrea believes that the most successful treatment outcomes result from a collaboration between patient and practitioner. e utilize Evidence-Based techniques, components of Integrative Health and Clinical experience in treating Mental Illness, Substance Use Disorders, and to facilitate approaches to lifestyle changes.
